I am going to speak about scientific management. Scientific management is called scientific because Taylor and his colleagues were one of the first set of people to look at managing a business scientifically. The main principle of Scientific management theory is efficiency. In 1911, Taylor published a monograph called „The Principles of Scientific Management“. So now I would like to briefly speak about the most important scientific management principles. I have prepared four principles which I think are the most important.

The first principle is Re-establish how employees work. Replace the idea that relies on employee and management hunches, and previous experience, with a scientific method to study, work, and determine the most efficient way to perform specific tasks.

The next principle is Specific roles. It‘s not so good idea to simply match workers to any job. You should link workers to specific roles based highly on capability and motivation. And you should train them to work as efficiently as possible.

The third principle is Monitoring a worker‘s effi­ciency. You should oversee a worker‘s perfor­mance. You can use ways of instructing and supervising to ensure that employees work efficiently.

Last principle I am going to talk about is Efficient time management. You should divide the work between managers and workers, so that the managers apply scientific management principles to planning the work and the workers actually perform the tasks.
