Zdravím,rozebírám si písničku od The Killers spaceman a je tu jeden verš, ze kterým si vůbec nevím rady, co může znamenat, tady je celý text, verš je označen tučně. Na stránce karaoketexty.cz je to přeloženo jako:

Což se mně osobně nezdá správně. Problém je v tom, že nevím co znamená v tomto kontextu slovo zipping. Díky

I hear (or expect to hear) And they‘re (= aliens?) zipping white light beams … It's an unusual sense of “zip”, but it means the same as “zap”, and “zip” gives the added sense of “quickly”. So rychle střílejí ?

zap: to quickly attack or destroy something, especially using a beam of electricity (Longman)

I can actually correct it on the website if you like . It also got my attention that they translated “song makers” as “tvůrci hvězd”… But I guess it would fit in the context…

That would be great if you could correct the mistakes there. I do not like the “tvůrci hvězd” translation either.
