Dobrý večer, mám text: I felt terrible, and really stupid! My friends were very nice about it, but they never let me forget it! Je poslední věta, respektive jestli je sloveso*** let *** v minulém čase? Děkuji a přeji hezký zbytek večera.

I felt … my friends were … jsou samozřejmě v minulém čase a proto předpokládáme, že je tomu tak i v případě slovesa “let”. Kdyby autor chtěl přejít na přítomný čas, čekal bych nejaký adverbiální ukazatel, třeba and even now they never let me ..... and even to this day they never let me … and still today they never let me… Teoreticky však máte pravdu …
I felt … my friends were … are of course in the past tense, and therefore we assume that that's the case with “let” too. If the writer wanted to switch to the present tense, I'd [= I would] expect an adverbial clue such as … But theoretically you're right, it could be either.
