The worst thing about fossil fuels is the fact that we will one day run out of them. That is why we need to look for renewable sources. Not because of the climate, the climate will do fine.

Volcano eruptions can actually have cooling effect on the atmosphere as particles, such as dust and ash, can block out the sunlight, thus reducing solar radiation and lowering global temperatures. That's what geoengineering is about.

The problem is that maybe is too late know as global emissions of green house gasses are raising. Once we reach the threshold there will be no way back. For example, now the polar ice caps reflect about 90% of the sunlight back to space. Contrary to this fact sea water absorbs about 90% of the sunlight. It means that once the ice caps are gone, global warming will continue at even higher pace.

Maybe the market will solve the problem. As the lack of oil drives the prices up, we will be forced to make the transition from oil to solar and other sources of energy.

I don't think that climate will do just fine. Look at the floods in Pakistan, wild fires in Russia.

kenzo: I'm sorry I didn't explain it properly. I didn't actually mean that people can't influence it. On the other hand our influence is getting bigger and bigger which can bring about a major effect on everyone. I meant it the way that anything that people do, especially those things affecting the climate, will once disappear. I'll try to make it clear this way – there will be rich people and the poor and the problem is that there will probably be the vast majority of the poor. The poor will want to change the situation and gain what they were ‚stolen‘. It will lead to disturbances, riots and war which could be the last thing in human history. All in all, nothing is ageless (except for the universe and human idiocy) and people will once become extinct, too. Either due to our own fault or because of a catastrophe (maybe caused by people). Planet earth will recover from all the damages caused by people in thousands or millions years and there will not be any signs of human exist left. I just wanted to say – we should keep in our minds the fact that our planet is not in danger but we all are.

Not only humankind, but also all other living creatures on this planet are at stake ! The animals suffer from our existence, expansion and monopolizing the Earth … Catastrophe in Gulf of Mexico has clearily demonstrated how powerless these are, poor turtles, birds and fish !! 

If global warming will be strong enough, it will flood Magyar Republic and Slovakians get access to the sea be pozitive guys
