Do you believe in God or something like that?
What makes you ask this question? Is it just out of curiosity or do you have any serious reason? I think this is a bit too personal, at least for me, so I don't think there will be a lot of responses, and, supposing I'm wrong, it's definitely going to be very controversial. But, if you need to know, yes, I do, kind of. I think everybody has to believe in something, somebody. You don't have to call it/them „God“ or anything like that, you don't have to give it/them a name at all. But you definitely need to have something/sb. to lean on.
nscnsc: In answer to your question, it would be no. I don't believe in God or anything like that. If somebody believes in higher powers, it's his/her business. I honestly don't care and don't judge them.
Yes, it is personal, but it's the biggest question of all questions and it's on top of all sciences or philospohies. Everybody is asking that, consciously or unconsciously. Some peoples are thinking, that universum and humans are not created, but evolved. But where is a origin? Who gets initial impulse for all that? But if God created space, where did he come from and how can be infinite and without beginnig? For what fuckin purpose is this world?
I honestly don't care and don't judge them.
uff, like believing is some kind of deviation
I personally have great respect for believers because true believing comes with submission – meaning that „I“ am not the Lord of Creation…
Right, if I can't create myslef and determine what happens, so who can?
McKay: I understand if someone don't believe in miraculous higher powers like angels or daemons or miracles or something supernatural. But the biggest power is existence of normal natural common world and it's higher power compared to miracles.
bozkurt: Maybe it didn't come out right. If you believe in something, really worship it, it's your problem, your life, I don't mind and respect you for that. You know, I've encountered several people who hated others for believing in something more and didn't want to talk to them at all, just because they believed in God (for example).
mckay: ok, I got you…as Tomas Halik would put it: believing in something without questioning it leads to fanaticism
That is a very good question. As for me I have not been brought up in the faith and now I am somehow missing it and am still looking for the belief. I also respect very much the people who are believers,to whom the religion is a part of their lives. However there are some postulates which I am not able to identify with and it prevents me from unconditional believing in God…so far.
An interesting topic. To your question, I believe in God but not in the way
the church depicts Him. If one consider how the universe is totally organised,
then it is hard to accept fact that it came into being incidentally. So there
must be some higher force, a creator behind that. The problem is that we cannot
conceive this superior authority by our human brain.
So God is not any being (whether physical or spiritual)for me but the highest
intelligence, primary source of entire life, the reason for all that exists.
Hi everybory, I consider this topic for interesting too. I believe in
superior power and in God but not by the typical religious approach. I believe like

Good day with God in hearth to all
The main problem about church (especially the catholic one) is that this
institution characterizes God as someone who makes decisions about
human's destinies. It is nonsense, because God is impartial. God isn't
responsible for wars and distress in this world and He does not judge people for
their deeds either. He has given Universal rules to all beings in Universum
which they should adhere to.
People have free will and it is up to them whether they accept those rules or
not. Each of us is responsible for his (her)actions and we also must bear the
consequences for it.
There is a quotation given as a Motto in Tomas Halik´s book
Close To The Remote:
„The patience with others is Love,
the patience with oneself is Hope,
the patience with God is Faith.“
Adel Bestavros
In my humble opinion, Bender is The God.
That's blasphemy and you as an infidel will burn at the stake. (just kidding)
