The Tortoise and the Hare
One day, a Hare was laughing at a Tortoise for being slow.
“You are so slow!” said the Hare. “I could beat you in a race anytime!”
The Tortoise replied, “Do you think so? Let’s race and see who is faster.”
The Hare laughed but agreed. They started the race.
The Hare ran very fast and was soon far ahead. “The Tortoise is so slow. I have time to rest,” he thought. So, he lay down under a tree and fell asleep.
The Tortoise kept walking slowly but never stopped. Step by step, he got closer to the finish line.
When the Hare woke up, he ran as fast as he could, but it was too late. The Tortoise had already won.
Moral: Slow and steady wins the race.
