Does anyone here watch British serials?
Yes, I watch Red Dwarf and Doctor Who.
Oh Red Dwarf. I've seen it 5 times at least but only in Czech. It was long before my wife found a way how to buy original DVDs. We happen to consider to buy it recently, but we've been there and I doubt we'd find time to watch it. Doctor Who is a think that interests me a lot. I haven't seen even on part of it and my wife claims it is very popular in GB so it is on the top of our list to buy it when we reduce the amount of serials we are watching in one time. Now we are trying to finish up Firefly. And before long my wife bought entire collection of Babylon 5. But before get to it we need to finish up Battlestar Galactica, Life on Mars and Marfy's Law – my wife adores detective stories. (then we are in the middle of Star Trek Enterprise and Rome but they can wait a bit) Tell me something about Doctor Who please. Is is as good as Red Dwarf is?
Frag! It posted itself again at the page reload
BTW who knows in which serial is the exclamation „Frag!“ frequently used?
Frag! Where? I don't know.
Doctor Who is something completely different to my mind. The only thing they have in common is the genre – they're both sci-fi. But to the point, Doctor is an alien who has a spaceship. The spaceship looks like a telephone box and is called TARDIS. He meets Rose Tyler in London and they together travel through time. It's really fun. I recommend it. The disadvantage is probably the price. The one season costs $ 75. It's a little expensive because one season has only 13 episodes.
Doctor Who and Red Dwarf are both great TV Shows. It's hard to choose which one is better. On the other hand, Red Dwarf is funnier than Doctor.
„Frag!“ is a very common euphemism in Battlestar Galactica and Starbug
uses it very often. I don't like euphemisms, but I like Battlestar Galactica.
It is quite different from the rest of sci-fi series, and I appreciate the
screenwriters were brave enough to get rid of common cliche. I mentioned here
Mr. Vit's remark that some sci-fi series are not real enough I partially agree
with him and this series Is rather good in disguising of breaking physical law,
I'd say (at least in comparison to the other series). BTW the series mentioned
by Mr. Vit as an example of complete „phantasmagoria“ – Stargate is not
completely true, I'd say. The first few seasons of Stargate were quite
„realistic“. It is true that SGA is pretty weaker, though. What I miss most
is the translation of extraterrestrial languages as Daniel Jackson did.
I really hate when everybody on every planet speak English fluently.
Thanks for Dr. Who short description. Time traveling – why not, mainly if is
there British English.
The OC – opening credits ala Friends:)

I am going to start watching this series … because it has been recommended/mentioned here so often:)
The Big Bang Theory, Red dwarf, South Park, The Simpsons… yeah I like series.
The Simpsons, NYPD Blue, Alarm for Cobra 11, Dr. House
Grey´s Anatomy, anyone?
Yeah, Grey's Anatomy is fun. Me and my wife sometimes watch it together. It's her favorite series. Now I¨m waiting for season 4 to come out on DVD in Britain. It is only available in the US but that's region 1. I don't get it why it hasn't been released in Europe yet.
My favourite serial are Gossip Girl and Desperate Housewives. Every week I look forward to watch new episode. It´s a pity, that Gossip Girl isn´t in Czech. Have you ever seen Gossip girl : **** ****
the best serial si Gilmore Girls
I like Gossip Girl. The first few episodes were okay but then I got hooked. I think I like the second season better than the first one.
And I definitely don't mind it is not in Czech.
I've bought the first season of Gossip Girl on DVD recently, so I can watch the bonus features now, deleted scenes, commentaries, behind the scene documentary etc.
