The final thesis called ,,The issue of nursing care of a patient with impaired
consciousness‘‘ whose main aim was to point out the issue of nursing care of
a patient with a vigil coma, points to case studies of specific patients who
were hospitalized in an unconscious. The case history of both patients were
processed through non-standardized interviews with family members and medical
staff. The case of Mr. M., who after the aspiration of food and subsequent
cardiac arrest and then remained unconscious, deals mainly with the nursing care
of the patient and his gradual progress to achieve improvement. Mr M. noted an
improvement in auditory stimulation, his wife's access to cooperation was more
difficult. Mr M.'s wife did not manage the situation and was not sufficient
support for the patient. While Mr. K., who was unconscious after a car accident,
had visits every day that had positive results for the patient. During support
of auditory stimulation, it resumed ability concentrate eyesight on the person.
Mr. M. was then transferred to the internal department and Mr. K. was
transferred to the MOJIP department.
