for and against watching TV series

Could you please write what helps you watching TV series with and if you see or feel some negative effects of watching TV series?

It´s interesting I can not watch TV series in Czech but in English I can bear it I can not watch TV series in TV, only on DVD, when I can stop it. I hate spend a lot of time with TV because I think that I have time for nothing. But, I must admit, I have normaly less free time than used to be.
I know people who are so dependant upon TV series that they don´t need contact other people. They are realy angry when somebody disturbs them during TV series.
How do you do you aren´t dependant upon TV series?

I'm totally addicted to my TV shows.
That is why I always watch in the middle of the night when everyone's asleep and no one interrupts my shows.

Don't you feel tired in the morning? As for me, when I end up watching a TV series late in the night, I'm done in in the morning and find it difficult to concentrate 

Marek: I have known only two people they need to sleep 4 hours a day. Are you third? 

4 hours a day? No way. I need at least five.

I don't get this guys. I am not able to function properly unless I get at least a eight-hour sleep.

Yeah, that's interesting. I know some people who need 9 or more hours of sleep, but I usually sleep for 6 hours and it's OK. I'm used to it.

BTW, I also love to watch movies or TV shows in the middle of the night – you're lying on the bed with headphones in your ears and all the people around you are fast asleep, so that no one can interrupt you – that's just great 

New episodes of my favourite series I usually watch in the evening almost at night because I also don't wanna be interrupted.
But I watch old episodes of my series more often during week. Usually before I go sleep and nothing is on TV. Nothing is better than sleep after few great episodes. (And yeah I sometimes have crazy dreams about series but I like it)

i love watching series, I watch them on the Internet because the only DVD I have is The O.C. – it's great with english subtitles, otherwise i dont understand I love HIMYM, The Big Bang, Friends but above all The IT Crowd, Black Books, Comming of Age, My Family, A Bit of Fry And Laurie and other excellent britcoms. I prefer watching series (or reading books
to other ways of learning English.
I also watch French TV series („H“ et „Nos annés pension“) but I dont understand it so well

It's definitely good, useful and funny. However, only until it becomes your everyday must such as sleeping, eating,…:-)
