Hello everyone,
my question is regarding short forms of verbs in English.
As far as I know there are two types of it.
You either shorten the ‚not‘ part to n't or you shorten the
auxillary verb.
i.e.
it is not → it isn't OR it's not
I have not seen → I haven't seen OR I've not seen
Are both types correct?
From my experience, the second type is not even mentioned in schools, but much
isn't
