Nějak si to nedokážu přeložit, aby to dávalo smysl. Proč by tu měl být předbudoucí čas, předpřítomný nebo minulý by mi smysl dával.

Zaujímala by ma veta pred a po tejto ukážkovej vete. Nie je toto príklad probability/cer­tainty in the past ?

We both pull on the chain and a boat rises up from the water.
When we get to the island away from the entrance we see a bowl of water and a shell.

“Oh, yes. It has to be drunk. All of it has to be drunk. You two remember the conditions on which I brought you two with me? This potion might paralyze me. Might make me forget why I'm here. Je to jak pise Mycroft. Konstrukce “will have + past participle” se pro minulost bezne pouziva:
Voldemort will not have made it easy to discover his hiding place. Vodemort se urcite postaral o to, aby jeho skrys jen tak nekdo nanasel.

Navic, ve fan fiction se muze vyskytovat ledacos, takze nektere veci je treba brat s rezervou (podobne jako texty nekterych pisni).
