Z mého pohledu je zde použit budoucí čas – akorát v minulosti, proto zde není will ale would. Z jakého důvodu je to zde v pořádku? Je to zde v pořádku? V časových větách se přeci will nepoužívá – tedy ani s in case ne.

„In case you'd call“ is non-standard usage here. Normal usage would be „(it was enough to) cancel plans just in case you called“. There are three good explanations trying to account for this non-standard usage on the Word Reference forum here.

A fourth explanation is that „you'd“ is a non-standard contraction of you should call („in case you should call“), which is correct usage for a hypothetical situation (after „in case“).

Moral of the story? Don't expect to always find standard/correct English in pop songs.

It can't be a future tense in the tense sequence it was enough to cancel plans just in case you will call.

• It'll be enough to cancel plans in case you call.
• It'll be enough to cancel plans in case you should call.
• It'll be enough to cancel plans in case you will call.
• I'm taking an umbrella in case it rains.

in case + přítomný/minulý čas

U spojení in case používáme přítomný nebo minulý čas (nikoli budoucí):

• I'll give you my number in case you will need it.
• I'll give you my number in case you need it.
• I gave him my number in case he needed it. (HFE)
